Attorney Richard Schwamm joined more than 200 community leaders, volunteers and other guests at the National Basketball Association event on Friday, February 24, 2012, in celebration of the installation of a 3,500 square-foot KaBOOM! Playground at the Children’s Safety Village (CSV) in Orlando, FL. At the event, Mr. Schwamm was interviewed by WDBO and the Orlando Magic TV Network.
Here’s some background:
The CSV was selected by the National Basketball Association as a partner for a KaBOOM! Community-Build Playground Project benefiting the children in the Central Florida community and all the students who visit the Children’s Safety Village on school field trips.
Members of the All-Stars Rising teams and Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education, stopped by to help with the installation. The playground is designed for ages three through 12 and has three sides, a rope-crossing challenge, two rock climbing walls, a zip line, two decks, tire swing, and Freddie the Fire Truck. CSV is planning to develop a Playground Safety program that will promote and foster safe play.
