Defective Products

Consumer products are responsible for an estimated 22,000 deaths and 29 million injuries a year, according to the U.S. Consumer and Product Safety Commission. In monetary value, the cost is some $500 billion annually. In human terms the tragedy is immense: There are nearly 220,000 toy-related injuries alone in the U.S. every year. These injuries and others bring immeasurable pain and suffering. The law is designed to protect victims in these cases if a product is unreasonably dangerous, or if it does not include sufficient warnings or instructions and causes injury.
