Several county agencies came together to help warn parents and guardians about water safety and children.

The event was held at the Children’s Safety Village on Fairvilla Road.

Southwest Aquatics displayed some survival swimming skills.

Drowning is the most frequent cause of death for children up to age 4 in Florida, and the second leading cause of death in all children.

County leaders also provided tips on proper adult supervision and what to do in an emergency.
